Nov. 30 fundraiser at Fair Grinds organized by Steve G. 2. Contribution to Adam's campaign for state senate district 4. Submitted by Art Carpenter, Treasurer Elections Report: We read and discussed a campaign summary of Adam Wilson's state senate campaign written by Jason Neville, Adam's campaign manager. Jason was not able to be present at the meeting. Coordinating Committee/Officer Elections: were deferred due to lack of attendance. PROPOSALS: Steve G. has made a proposal that we immediately begin a city-wide organizing campaign focused on door-to-door canvassing and culminating in a series of neighborhood meetings. This was followed by lengthy discussion and debate on how this could be carried out, as well as on what was precisely meant by organizing. Art C. then proposed that this be tabled for further discussion and development. This proposal passed. ANNOUNCEMENTS: John C. made a preliminary announcement that Loyola University's annual Gaia Fest will be held on April 22, 2005. Also, Julia Butterfly Hill (http://www.circleoflifefoundation.org) is scheduled to speak April 29. Next Meeting: is tentatively set for Sunday, January 9, place to be announced.
