Betty DiMarco, Hester for School Board Campaign

- Sandra Hester announced her candidacy for Orleans Parish School Board, Dist. 3
and asked for the GNOGP endorsement. She spoke for about 20 minutes on
education reform, including outsourcing the financial aspects of board
operations to take out the politics; supporting parents to help address students
educational needs; and increasing funding for school basics (textbooks, room
resources) . The GNOGP voted after she left to endorse her campaign pending
approval of GNOGP CC.

- Art reported that there is $779.11 in the Treasury

- Jason announced that the GPL convention would be held in New Orleans on Labor
Day weekend, and that GNOGP would need to act as the Host Committee

- Alejandro annoucned his plans for Campus Outreach in the fall, and asked the
membership for financial assistance in traveling to California for Campus Greens
Convention. GNOGP CC to consider allocating funds.

- Jason announced David Cobb visit on 7/30/04 and asked for $75 to help cover
costs. GNOGP CC to consider allocating funds.
