GNOGP: Minutes

The November General Membership Meeting went very 
well.  We've agreed on an anti-war slide show this
December 6th which should be outstanding.  Here's
the report:

II. UPDATES

Treasury
- balance of about $400
- still owe back rent of $375 Membership 
- about 13 members have turned in annual dues
- developing membership pack to send to all new 
  members

Green Kitchen 
- $109 raised; $70 reimbursed to Josh for food 
  costs

Anti-War
- Anti-War Rally on Saturday went well, with 
  Greens from across the state
- Tuesday and Thursday meetings still continue

Transit
- action day cut short due to St. Thomas council 
  meeting
- about 300 signatures gathered so far for bus 
  stop improvements

Education
- about 125 people at last debate, but no GNOGP 
  materials there
  
III. NEW BUSINESS

UPCOMING PEACE EVENTS
- Mark Gonzales pledges $250 to cover costs for 
  location, flyers, and refreshments for a slide 
  show with Bill Quigley and Malik Rahim.  Art 
  Carpenter (Anti-War Coordinator) will arrange time
  /place.  There was some dicussion about whether we
  should have the event within the next two weeks 
  or later in the begining of the spring semester; 
  we decided to capitalize on growing anti-war 
  momentum and have it in the next two weeks
- Melissa, Jason and Steve agree to help 
  distribute flyers; Evelyn will do mailouts; Josh 
  will help with music
- Steve memtions additional ideas for education 
  events and fundraisers

BACK RENT
- Ben states that Pax Christi could be in a 
  postion to help contribute to back rent owed to 
  Ron Fowler

NEXT MEETING
- Instead of a December Membership Meeting, there 
  will be a bonfire social at John Clark's house on 
  December 22
