candidates

GP Statement on 3T reviewed (see http://green.rox.com/ for text)

Poll Monitoring Report: Jason and Gordon commented on Green's
participation with Citiznes to Save our Charter to monitor polling
places for "foul play" on 3T ballot measure

DNA Letter Review: Antoinette thanked the group for agreeing to write a
letter on behalf of her non-profit organization "African-American
Genealogy Connection, Inc." encouraging federal funding of DNA tests
for all African-Americans. The Coordinating Committee made this
decision because the letter was due before the GM. No one at the
meeting objected to the letter's content (should also will be available
at green.rox.com)

Treasurer's Report/Minutes: The minutes were ditributed with no
obejection by secretary Jason, and treasurer Art circulated a balance of
about $1060 in our account.

CC Nominations: Antionette and Malik were nominated and elected without
objection to the Coordinating Committee; Daisy, Bart, Morgan and Teresa
were each nominated but declined for now. Bart will try to sit in
and participate in CC meetings, though.

Time/Place of General Meetings: We decided that the GMs will be every
2nd Sunday of the month at 5PM at our office (with no objection). We
dicussed CC meeting time but thought it would be best for the CC to
decide that for themselves. (see http://green.rox.com for CC minutes)
Daisy volunteers to paint 10 Key Values on office walls

Calendar/Meetings/Newsletter: We established a Newsletter working group
to create a newsletter. Leora volunteered to coordinate that group, and
several members volunteered to participate on that working group.
Leora's contact info is (821-1562, leora36@hotmail.com) Also Antionette
suggests nametags for meetings.

Campiagn-Based Organization: Jason offered his philosophy of trying to
organize the GP around campiagns or specific ongoing tasks, versus
around nebulous committees. Antionette suggests empowering spokespeople
for the group. Malik suggests that GP not limit its scope to local
politicss; that we should be interconnected with national and
international Green Parties. Leora suggests that the newletter can help
be a vehicle for such interconnectivity.

Movie Nights: John suggests movie nights. DJ suggests UNO movie nights.
Jason suggests inter-collegiate rotation of movie nights. Steve
suggests movie nights in specifc neighborhoods.

Living Wage: Jason suggests forming a living wage working group to
distribute information and register voters for the living wage ballot
initiative. No decisions were made because the meeting had run 10
minutes beyond the limit and the meeting was adjourned.
